Directions

The studio is easily accessible by subway using the A or 1 trains.

By A Train: Take the A to 181st Street. Stay at the front end of the train or at the north end of the station. Go upstairs by the token booth and take an elevator up to Fort Washington Avenue. When you exit the subway, you’ll be on Fort Washington Avenue at 184th Street. Go LEFT and walk one block south to 183rd Street. Just south of 183rd Street on Fort Washington Avenue, you’ll see a 22-foot awning that says Lissemore Music Studios. The door to the left of the awning is the entrance.

By 1 Train: Take the 1 train to 181st Street. Take the elevator up and exit the subway at 181st Street and St. Nicholas Avenue. Go West on 181st Street. Pass Wadsworth Avenue, Broadway and Bennett Avenue. Walk uphill to Fort Washington Avenue. Go Right on Fort Washington Ave. Walk North toward 183rd Street. Just south of 183rd Street, on the left, you’ll see a 22-foot awning that says Lissemore Music Studios. The door to the left of the awning is the entrance.

From Downtown

West Side

Take the West Side Highway North to the George Washington Bridge/178th Street exit. Stay in the far right lane as you exit the highway. Stay in this lane as the ramp opens to four lanes. Go straight ahead and follow the sign for 178th Street. Stay to the right, following the next sign for 178th Street. Take your first Right on to Pinehurst Avenue. Go two blocks to 176th Street. Go Left. Go one block to Fort Washington Avenue. Go Left. The studio is on the left just south of 183rd Street.

East Side

Take the East Side Highway to the “George Washington Bridge/179th Street” Exit. Stay to the Right and follow signs for the GWB. DO NOT TAKE THE 179TH STREET EXIT. Go as far right as possible as soon as possible. Take the last exit in Manhattan, “181st Street/Henry Hudson Parkway”. Exit forks. Stay to the Right. Come to a light (181st Street). Go right. 2nd light is Fort Washington Avenue. Go Left. Drive to 183rd Street. Studio is on the left, just south of 183rd Street.

From Westchester and Connecticut

Take the Henry Hudson Parkway South to the George Washington Bridge/Riverside Drive Exit. Stay in the far left lane. The exit ramp will fork. Stay left. Come to stop sign and go Left on to Riverside Drive. 100 yards to the right you will see a small green sign that says, “181st Street” with an arrow pointing to the right. Go to the Right and drive up the service ramp. At the top of the hill, make your first Right on to Plaza Lafayette. Come to a light. Veer Left on to 181st Street. 2nd light is Fort Washington Avenue. Go Left and drive to 183rd Street. Studio is on the left, just south of 183rd Street.

From New Jersey

Take the George Washington Bridge Upper Level. Stay in one of the two right lanes. Take the Exit for 178th Street. Veer left on to 178th Street. Come to a light (Fort Washington Avenue). Go Left. Drive to 183rd Street. Studio is on the left, just south of 183rd Street.

From Long Island

Take the Throgs Neck or Whitestone Bridge to the Cross Bronx Expressway. As you approach the George Washington Bridge stay to the Right. Take the last exit in Manhattan, “181st Street/Henry Hudson Parkway”. Exit forks. Stay to the Right. Come to a light (181st Street). Go right. 2nd light is Fort Washington Avenue. Go Left. Drive to 183rd Street. Studio is on the left, just south of 183rd Street.
